outer cv joints diggerent types?

Are outer cv joints different on different nova or are they all the same?

i always thought they were the same, and the insides are different

There are two types I think. A Saginaw(I think they are called) and another type according to Haynes. I don't think they are interchangeable.
Have a GTE setup and a couple of the standard setup and they differ.
