servo pipe valve.

My SR brakes servo seemed to give up the other day. I took the 1.2i vacuum pipe and put a screw in the extra small pipe (just temporary to test) and it worked, the original pipe is completely blocked.

I went to the scrap yard to day and took a pipe from a corsa diesel b, the pipes are too long so I would like to remove the vavlve and put in the SR pipe.

Can I remove these pipes with hot water or will that damage the valve?

If so, is there a way they can be removed?

I did it today with hot water, but all that seesm to be wrong with the original was it was full of gunk, so cleaned it and put it back together for the moment.
