Only if they won't relocate back into position ("without assistance") after the car is put back down from being jacked up.

Are the bilsteins shortened ones?

Don't think they are mate, do they jack car up for mot? I was thinking of spot welding at the bottom location point

I wouldn't weld it...how about putting a rubber insulator in between?

use heavy duty tiewraps. there is very little load on it when its jacked up and provides enough support to re locate the spring in the hanger.

Mine are like that and have passed two mots, and been round knockhill many times with no problems.
