Coupe was a Californian wasn't it. Also rebranded under another name as well
Edit: Hillman Imp Californian and Sunbeam Stiletto ;)
I passed my test in a white stiletto - a very poorly car which used more oil than petrol during the test

Never knew this was on...but makes sense, what up from Manchester yesterday seen the bronze coupe getting trailered up on back of a vw transporter
Ahh I know that car park well, seen many a fine car in there over the years,
Mind you most of them entered over the grass after loosing it on the roundabout coming out of McDonald's lol
Nice to see a collection of the old cars together, a bit of a pilgrimage. Just like that top gear episodes when they take the old cars back to their home towns,
it was a brilliant car for its day.. like a pint sized 911 in some respects.. its styling borrowed a lot from the yanks, which was not a bad thing in those days.... but building it in a completely new factory funded by the govt to make use of the unemployed labour in the area was just asking for trouble (see delorean, alfa sud etc) at least the building lives on as a shopping centre.. most of the iconic factories down here have been flattened & built on
Gutted, I totally forgot that was on tonite. Heard it on the radio when I was up the garage earlier:(

I used to work in there. Seen a fair few cars slide off the round about, bang right into the car park haha.
The big buildings out the back that got knocked down in 98 left the old shop floors, about 3 football pitch sizes of smooth concrete... I just happened to have a 325 BMW and a lot of lunch times to spend drifting - well until I hit what was left of a steel H beam and ripped my tyre off. Ah those were the days.
