How thick are the strengthening plates?

As title says, im making my own today and wondered how thick the steel was on the real deal. Cheers

1.6mm on the cheaper ones and 2mm on the Hockley ones iirc

Not sure how effective that'd be, why not have a nice drive out to Newtown and haggle Hhms for cash

I cant drive at the minute due to an injury and wanted to make a start on it today. plus im a fabby so it it would be against my ethics to pay for it when I can make it lol lol just a shame im not in work to steal the correct steel lol

I only need to do the tie bar mounts anyway as I've bought a new front panel... the rest of the cars already done.
