I am sure these have been asked before but I have used the search function, how too guides and google with no definitive help.

Would be appreciated if anyone can help.

1- On the loom above the injectors there is supposed to be 3 earth wires, my loom only has the 2 gearbox end.

2- on the guides the fuel pump relay comes out by the ecu plug but mine seems to be the opposite end of the loom?

http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu310/paul080803/81D85FC1-0B9D-4602-AF2F-F2676AD3F663-2962-0000011EAD3D60E4_zpse8b4ec96.jpg

3- got this plug by the ecu plug not sure what it is?

http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu310/paul080803/6DC2C811-2E85-4207-90A5-DCD988E9444A-2962-0000011EC0F73A2F_zps9cd9e826.jpg

4- the guides say there should be a mini loom for the icv and knock sensor but on mine they are straight from the main loom. White and red plugs?

5- I don't have a wire, blue I think, to go onto the pin on the thermostat housing. Does that matter?

6- got no red wire for perm live, looks to have been cut. Where abouts on the loom will it be?

7- I have left over plugs and wires, some from nova loom (by passenger headlight and brake servo) and a plug on xe loom. Pics below if anyone can help?

Never seen a loom like that before!

Could be very early GTE one which I think were different

Looks like a E16 loom??

Wouldn't surprise me if the loom is wrong!

Most plugs in fine, fits the injectors correctly. The hall sensor, coil plug, crank position sensor, thermostat plug, icv, knock sensor, throttle position sensor all plugged in.

Maybe an early astra gte loom? It is an early xe

The blue plug looks like the diagnostic plug on the E16 loom, plus in this pic you'll see my fuel pump relay on the bulkhead,

I have a 20XE loom at the workshop, I'll try and get a few pics of it tomorrow,

That would be great if you could.

The blue plug on mine and then fuel pump relay plug are at opposite ends of the loom. In your pic looks like the same end?

Yeah I think they are, the black plug below the blue one is where the mini loom for the injection system plugs into the car loom,

The wires in one of your pics with the round rubbers could be the horn, the plug with one black wire and one white wire might be reverse light switch,

What ecu do you have on your loom?

I thought the rubber booted wires were the horn too.

I will get a picture of the ECU up later.

I might just buy a new, uncut loom to be easier. I think a dispack loom will work ok on a dizzy engine?

My loom pictured here is the early Dizzy loom without lambda sensor,

No blue plug tho, looking at your pics again you seem to be missing the small section that goes to the battery etc, that's where you have the extra black multiplug that has nowhere to go, this section also has the blue wire for the thermostat sensor thingy,

Apart from the blue plug my loom looks the same as that one bazil.

I have the other part with the round plug, so that will give me the blue wire for the thermostat. Does that also contain the perm and switched live?

Does the round plug loom plug into the main loom with a rectangular black plug?

First one I think is oil pressure sender,
The switched live will probably be in the multiplug and not seperate,

I'm still learning myself, hopefully someone with more experience can tell you mate,

On your last set of pics Paul thats the starting and charging loom, you don't use any of it on a Nova.

The Nova starting and charging loom is part of the dash loom.

Black/red - starter
3 way thick red - starter/alternator/battery
Blue/white - alternator
Blue green - oil pressure (reason why this loom has 2 plugs for oil pressue because GTE's had digi dash and they require one signal for the light and one to show pressure)

I don't have the original start charge loom though so will need to use at least some of that, or make up a new 3 way live lead to go battery>starter>alternator.

Will I get the starter (black/red), alternator (blue/white) and oil pressure (blue/green) from the black plug by the brake servo on the original car loom?

What engine was in the car before? I made a small loom to mate with the original GTE loom for this plug. Mine is also an early with lambda

It was originally a 1.0 saloon, but the previous engine was a 1300 8v
