Ok soon I am going after a new car as my 50bhp engine is just too shite. I have my eyes on a Corsa GSi. Just wondering if they are any good performance wise, modability and style. Any of you lads and the odd lassie got opinions on them?

Cheers
Neil

they are fairly quick you should be able to get about 130-140mph out of them

130mph? Never thought that. My Nova goes 96 and nearly blows up. And that is wind assisted. And downhill.

yeah but this is a 1.6 corsa GSI not a 1.0 nova

ok they wont do that speed, this sounds like a "how fast it go mister" kinda thread. Who cares about topend, you cant use it safely unless you live on a racetrack and you will find most of the people with fast cars dont bother with top speed, no fun there. Its the getting there that matters

I agree with Dan, top end is not that important.

Regarding the Corsa itself, I liked the look of the Gsi when it first appeared on the scene, buit it's not really my thing. The corsa shape is too round and bubbly.

Perhaps try posting on Mig or other sites where there are more than likely Corsa owners that can give you better answers.

As standard the Nova GSi will be quicker upto about 30-40mph, but the corsa will then come into its own and take over upto a reasonable speed.

The engines are more capabale of big BHP, there are a few around over 200bhp.

The tuning products are expensive for these cars, you could tune a Nova GSi/GTE to a reasonable power for less money.

And they look like girls cars.

yes...it does have the slgiht resemblance of a frog. but the GSI does have a nice grunt - a bloke at work loves his and his last car was a beefy beemer. id say go for it if youv got the dollars! it would be good fun.
