Hello, just wondering im looking at spraying my bumpers in upol mid grey, Do you have to prep the bumper or do you just degrease them with white sprites?
Thanks

Don't use white spirit, that will leave residue and react, use dilute thinners or pre bought panel wipe.

Ok mate cheers, I wasn't quite sure what to use, I thought I'll double check before I start them
i used lots of traffic film remover & a steam cleaner. then i wiped them down with thinners.
this paint is like piss, you need loads of thin coats of it. it needs to be warm, i was lucky, the day i did mine, it was really sunny.
buy the primer too

Ok mate cheers for the info, do they look better if you primer them first?
no, but the top coat sticks to it a load better

Ok mate thanks
I have done my bumpers, plough, spoiler, fuel cap, door handles, etc
all with this method
wipe down with white spirit
no primer
spray on paint
did a few coats leaving ten mins between each
all is perfect

Might be best to key with Scotch Brite first

Cheers mowgli. Will call my local body shop supplies in the morning.
Just a little hesitant painting my bumpers with aerosol as its quite a large surface area.
Yours seem to be a nice even finish though tbf.
get one of those clip on trigger things for an aerosol can, its dead easy to use
