Fitting vw synchro Audi 80 bearings into nova hubs,
I've had the nova hub carriers machines to except the larger diamenter bearings for the use of big block flanges. I've all so had the cir clip retaining clip groove cut deeper.

Question is what cir clips do peep use because if I use the vw larger dia ones there's effectively 1mm of end float on the bearing race because the two cir clips together are a combined 5mm were as the standard nova circlips are a combines 6mm which suit the groove in the carrier but are to small in diameter?

I'm sure I used the VW/Audi circlips, although my machinist had the bearings and circlips in front of him so maybe cut the grooves to suit them?

my mate subbed the carriers out to another engineering shop but they just cut the groove to the same dim as original 3mm. which is understandable. he reckons he can source a circlip to suit.
