won't go back on

changed her rear brake drums over the other day to the nice new painted ones but when i was putting the wheel bearing back on the washer thing the goes on b4 the the wheel bearing will only go up so far the i can't get the bearing and the nut on any ideas??? :roll:

Doesn't it go an after the bearing? You put drum on, insert bearing (tapered), put the washer over the top (It has a key on it which goes in the groove on the stub), put nut on, tighten, insert split pin?
