Hi guys, got a 2.0 xe nova and all is fine apart from its not been driven much lately and when you floor it, the car feels like it's hitting a wall and doesn't rev.

I know it could be anything, but any suggestions/advice?

Thanks.

What does it rev too?

If progressive, it will rev to 7k, however stamp on the throttle and the car nose dives and almost misfires but cuts all power.
Pulls strongly in all gears but if you floor it the car won't have it and kangaroos along, however put your foot almost to the floor and it doesn't do it.

Thanks.

As above try the air mass meter

Did it on my zafira with the same symptoms

Update - I checked the throttle body itself and it appeared to be opening too much when on full throttle and was actually going past where it should when the pedal was fully pressed down, so after a strip down and some repairs it seems to be okay now. :)

I didn't check the air mass meter, but shall try to get a decent one to test and see if that makes any difference or not. Thanks for the replies though guys, appreciated. :)
