according to haynes, the radio connects to fuse 16 & a wire also goes to the clock.. in those days, we had to wire them in ourselves.
what sort of radio are you fitting?? a std gm(phillips) one?

whch ever of the two connections on the speaker it fits. If you have wired one speaker the wrong way, it will cancel the sound of the other a bit giving a hollow sound, just swap the positive and negative on one.

OOPS, Sorry, I thought you meant the speaker wire, don't do what I just said above then!lol

i had mine appart the other day and it looks like the power for the radio comes from the hazard switch. if you look at it when its plugged in there is a pin which is still availible you can get the power feed from that as i unplugged the other day and my radio, clock and interior light went off

I had a look in my 1984 nova, the black wire is cobnastant 12v, the brown is earth and the red is ignition on 12v. This depends if anyone has altered the wiring before though. I think you need to post a pic of the wiring nd the back of the radio.

But as chris said, you can take a feed from either the clock of hazard switch. In my mk2 car where the wiring had all been cut by the previous owner, I just used the hazard wiring for both and clock and radio.
