do alot of people who go pvs have cb radios because last year wen traveling down I saw a lot of Vauxhalsl with the cb Aerials on the top ??? wnt mind one for on the way down lol
Cb's radios, awesome stuff. Last time I used a cb for personal use was following the old school circuit of Ireland rally. Everyone used cb radio back then, even the rally crews (before mobile phones took over). Ahhh the good old days.

Normal phone call uses less battery lol so get hands free
Me and my mate will be using cb s travling from Lincoln
/\/\ yes, but being from lincoln makes you yokels...
my nephew was mightily pissed off when his dad banned him from fitting a rig into his 56 reg golf.. lol lol, but yesterday he fitted one to his new tractor.
i drove in convoy to goole the other weekend in a scania 8 wheeler & i have to admit it was a good laugh on the cb going up the m1 & providing a commentary of the other road users lol
but to be fair, i've fitted about a dozen of them for people over the years, and only actually used about 3 of them.
We have always used walkies or mobiles. Since I bought a pair of VHF ship to shore waterproof/floating/dustproof/shockproof etc and obviously very long range, handheld radios though, it's been loads better and I find I use them for loads of things.
They aren't that expensive either. 90 quid the pair iirc.
Uniden MS870 or something. I read reviews and shopped around.
Worth having if you travel in convoy a few times a year. Beats any Maplins Binatone muck any day. lol

I never had one. We weren't gypo enough to allow me to have a 30' mast on the side of the house. lol

My aerial was internal lol I didn't fancy a hey I'm over here silver rod
My aerial was internal
That sounds painful lol
Just remember peeps if youre using those little radio things they sell these days, they still class as a handheld communications device, and are still illegal to use whilst driving (not trying to be a party pooper here, just pointing it out as loads of people wouldnt know, or even realise, till they ended up with a massive fine and points)

Use your legs to press the microphone
Use your legs to press the microphone
Thats stupid, use your legs to steer whilst you swig your can of stella and use the radio to chat to your mate, silly lol
Still gotta be safer than me leaning forward and shouting at the interior light when trying to conduct a conversation via the POS Nokia Bluetooth kit fitted to my Mondog though. lol

Does no-one have one of those phones that has loud speaker and jams in a gap in your steering wheel just right? saves having a CB or bluetooth lol

The Nokia 8210 was great for that. Didn't have speaker though. lol
if driving in a convoy, using your mirrors is a much better way of keeping in touch with your group, also putting the ones most likely to break down near the front is a must, which is why LET novas always lead the way lol lol lol
