fitting non nova seats

Next weekend im planning on fitting my mk 3 astra astra seats in the nova. Got some subframes. Do people strip the material to stop welding mistakes ? Might sound stupid but don't want to give myself extra work or on the other hand wreck them.

What i would do is make a box frame up usingthe nova oe mountings and then drill some holes and bolt newframe to it

Yes i have done what Mowgli said. i used 8mm bolts.
