I really hope not Pulis, also! Or Schteeve.
The Poyet rumour is gathering strong pace now, with a few claiming he has signed.
Not the best appointment, but could be worse. We can't expect much tbh.
Let's see what shape we're in for the bin dippers game at the weekend. Last night compared to the MK Dons game was like night and day, so hopefully we can start heading in the right direction again!
Personally, I would liked to have seen Gary Neville given a shot (if he would take it). You, mate?
Sounds like Mr Ellis ain't got a clue tbh, surely they knew what they were getting with looney Paulo?
Then to let him bring in loads of untested players, get rid of half decent ones, then sack him shouts madness to me
Take Kinnear, he'll do a better job lol

Who?
Shame Paolo didn't owe Ellis Short a fortune in gambling debts and was willing to be a poweless puppet at a club the owner has tried and failed to sell on a few occasions, isn't it? lol
As for JFK, he hasn't done a damn thing yet as the mugs haven't made any signings. Couldn't afford to after blowing the budget last January to enable a PL stay of execution.
We have De Fanti as our DoF. I think we're alright. lol

Glad to see a custodial sentence is being lined up for this cretin.
It says a lot about the supporters of a particular team if they cannot handle a defeat without smashing their own city and assaulting animals.

I think personally we need a proven premiership manager instead of taking chances on the likes of poyet, look at the di canio situation. saying that mon was experienced and that ended in tears too. Im more worried to who we can attract, what manager would want to come here in the state we are currently and even more so how ellis short is very trigger happy with managers.
I wouldnt mind zola but not sure he ready to step up into prem yet. although i hear manchini was seen buying a saveloy dip in jacky whites market the other day haha

so he was minding his own business, wasn't pissed up or anything, someone let off a firecracker & the horses came towards him & he panicked......RIGHT..... if i was in a situation where a horse was galloping down the street towards me in the middle of a riot, i certainly wouldn't put a scarf on the wrong way round to cover my face, jump into the street & try to belt it one...

Just been sat next on the next table to a bloke called Steve Mclaren when we went out for a meal tonight. Apparently he his something to do with football?!?
People were getting all excited, starting at him and asking for photo's and signatures. If I were him I'd have told them politely to fcuk off so I could enjoy my meal.
Just thought I would tell you footballies.

so he spent several months in a football environment in holland with a load of dutch blokes speaking their version of English, and a dutch tv journo asked him a question in dutch English, and he answered in dutch English
big effing deal......
apart from the uk press attempting to assassinate his character, he has a fine record in football.. even his England record was no worse than any other manager

Wonder if any horses have been punched yet
Quite possibly. Those gravy-stained fat *******s from up the road really are a special breed.
So... Beaten again. By the team to make the worst ever start in Premiership history who have took six points from the 'superior' barcode scum in successive games.
Yet we were gonna lose by a cricket score today?
Sunderland AFC. Historically the North East's number one football club. Never forget it. :)
Actually its not the worst,Southamptons 98/99 campaign was equal.......so equal worst lol

Well we may still be going after Derby's 11? point record. Previously ours on 19 then 15 points. lol

Debate earlier on over whether Tottenham are title contenders...are they fook, only ever win by penalties. Its about time they introduced video refs to football
Title contenders?
We must be strongly fancied for Europe then lol
mk1nova_rich
27-10-13, 08:29 PM
lollol its just daft...they introduced this goal line technology to help improve the game...but lets be fair I bet its only needed for 3 matches in a whole season, video referees would have been money better spent - I bet there is at least one incident in every match where a controversial decision is given based on a split second judgement from the angle and distance the official has seen it
So were halfway through the season, its looking like its man citys to lose tbh.
Utd look crap,we gave them a very good run for their money boxing day,we should've won in all honesty.
Arsenal look like bottling it,Liverpool are inconsistent.
Chelsea? Nah.
Pleased we're doing well, excellent win on Saturday, awesome atmosphere in the stadium, even if it was freezing!
Fulham look in big trouble.
Whats the other 3 peoples (lol) thoughts
its about time Arsenal or Liverpool got their acts together & won it, considering their fans seem to think they should have won it every year.
I agree,id like to see Liverpool win it again.
I actually went to anfield earlier in the year, delivering bricks to a site about 1/2m from the ground.... my god it was a depressing place..
this might sound harsh, but in a way I'm glad that woman, who kept the Hillsborough thing going died, so they can move on..
the 80's was not a great time for football, off the field anyway
mk1nova_rich
30-12-13, 09:14 PM
I'd like either Arsenal or Liverpool to win for a change but they both come unstuck against the big team so can't see it happening...yet anyway.
In general its good to see the Northern teams doing well (bar Manchester) and I really hope Sunderland stay up - they now seem geared up to fight the battle. Gus Poyet is just what they need IMO
Hull are probably doing better than anyone expected, some fantastic results so far this season. I watches the game against Man Utd - played very well and were unlucky in the end
As were Norwich...losing only 1-0 to a lucky goal from Welbeck...its been quite funny though seeing Man Utd fans on the losing side quite a few times this season. When Rooney isnt on the pitch they have no goal threat at all
Been a interesting first half of the season
If Chelsea had a decent striker they'd be top by a mile
Nice to see Man U losing a few, think they have got there act together now tho
Fcuking hate Man City, smug cnuts
Wouldn't mind Arsenal or Liverpool winning it
Newcastle are going well this season (2 people will admit that lol )
Sunderland are fcuked (1 person won't admit that tho )

The generation of armchair fans Sky has created is a disgrace. You are not a football supporter.
As for us, we are midtable, form wise since Gus arrived. I think we will be alright.
We have only won about 5 games in a year - two were against the horse punchers and we are ****e.
We have already put Chelsea out of the league cup and are now in the semi-finals. We are having a much better season than it looked like we were going to.
Yawn
All you can ever say....
Typical Skyboy who just latched onto a random club, in the search of glory and couldn't even do that right. lol

To be truthful I can't really say I'm a Leeds Utd fan as I just observe football, take an interest in the general game but I'd like to see them back in the Premier League
Thats more from being brought up on rugby league rather than football so I'm a Rhinos fan. Biggest laugh are people who are from Leeds and support Rhinos through and through but then follow Man Utd/Chelsea/Man City etc...then when asked why they don't support Wigan Warriors in rugby, you get the reply 'why would I when I'm from Leeds...'
mk1nova_rich
31-12-13, 04:34 PM
i suppose that also comes down to glory supporting in the end...Leeds have been very successful in rugby league so need to latch onto another team like in football
Nice easy victory today and a run out for Ba and Watmore, who both look great.
Bring on The Posh or Cheltenham in the next round and also the league cup, first leg semi"s against Man U on Tuesday.

Wally: Spot on, marra! Enjoy it whilst it lasts, as we all know it's never for long.
Banters banter, its all about the game whether about supporting, games or whatever. I had money on sunderland last night,i knew u****ed would get beat. Shadow of the team under ferguson. Did he get out at the right time? Or cant Moyes make them play? One things for certain, theyre gonna lose some "fans" this season.
mk1nova_rich
08-01-14, 07:16 PM
Things were never gona carry on exactly as they were under Fergie, but IMO the problems aren't in the dug out but on the pitch. Many of their players lack genuine quality, they look very mediocre most of the time.
You can definitely tell when Rooney isnt on the pitch, he is by far their biggest attacking threat...RVP has missed loads of games but seems to be lacking the special touch when he does play
End of era, how the mighty have fallen lol nice to see a few other teams emerging as title/Europe contenders
You said it, Rich. With no Rooney or RVP, Man Utd have barely any threat.
Giggsy shouldn't be an automatic name on the team sheet these days. He's 40 FFS. Still a great player (imo the best ever in the PL) but they are too dependent on ageing stars.
Their success was built on the Neville brothers, Butt, Scholes, Giggs, Beckham etc and they have all either moved on, or naturally aged and not been replaced with players of the same quality.
Bacon face sure knew how to get the best from his team. Now, Gollum does not have the same motivational skills or tactical nouse and it shows in spades.
This squad won the league, last year. They may be far from the best Utd have ever been, but it's fairly obvious where most of the blame lies.
SAF has never been stupid, we know this. It makes me wonder if that is why he chose Moyes. To make his own legacy look even better.
DM was a **** choice. What exactly did he achieve with Everton?
Martinez shows that if anything, he was holding them back. It will be hilarious if Everton finish above MUFC. lol
DM had no money to spend at everton and managed to keep it ticking along...
larger chequebooks have helped other teams to make the big purchases in the last 2 or 3 years... so Man U were always going to have a slump this season, I do wonder about the referring decisions going against them, its almost as if they were scared to do it to fergie.....
they'll be back with a vengeance soon.
mk1nova_rich
08-01-14, 09:15 PM
Martinez is a fantastic manager and he will take Everton to places Moyes never did
Although Everton were very consistent under Moyes
For Moyes to come out with that crap about officials being against them is unbelievable.
I used to like the bloke, but he is fast disappearing up his own ****, at Utd.
I agree that they are far from finished. It is great to see them being brought down a peg or two, for now though.
Southie
08-01-14, 10:02 PM
Man U are going to be a better team next season I reckon, it takes time to gel with any new manager.
what was Fergies first Sean like after taking over from Ron Atkinson?
Fergie is a hard act to follow though! The hardest.
Most armchair fans won't know it wasn't all sunshine and roses from the first day he stepped in the door. People are under more scrutiny than ever before, given their current profile.
The next successful manager at Man Utd won't be the bloke that succeeds him, imo, but the bloke that succeeds the successor.
Canny weekend. Very good win for The Lads. That's the AJ we paid £10M for!
Hopefully the Dippers will do Stoke some damage and that classless prick Pardew will get what he deserves from the FA. Team of leg breaking, snidey cheats.
Shame West Ham won on Sat, but you can't have it all.

'Kiddies' dealt with. :thumb:
Albeit from a less than convincing performance, involving ten of PDC's (De Fanti's) rejects/current reserves.

Too (or should the be three?) easy - again.
As predictable as their moronic supporters fighting each other and the police and smashing up their city (in progress).
Todays pitch invasions were a nice touch by them. We haven't been part of that since they attempted to have our play-off final game against them, abandonned in 1990.
They were losing that one as well.

Cup Sunderland are a totally different proposition to league Sunderland. lol
Gus said he would rather lose than go to a replay s Southampton, yesterday (corrrect imo) and fielded a weakened team and we still won.
Wes Brown walks after 3 mins for hacking one of your non-league cloggers ;) down, severely weakening the team and we lose!
The League Cup Finalists will not be an easy game. We heart the cupz.
So, bring it on! Dunno if I can afford to lose anymore coin like. Maybe if I sell that boot carpet. lol

Ah yes, attendances... NUFC 3-0 Plymouth FA Cup 2010 16,000 in attendance.
Maybe they had just spent hundreds on Wembley tickets, travel and accomodation, also? lol lol lol
Sunderland get average 40K gates when rock bottom of the league. One of only seven clubs in the Prem.
Did you see the Horse Punchers pouring out of the O3 Arena when we stuffed them, again, the other week?
That wasn't a full house, either.
Sunderland supporters are amazing and everyone knows it. :)

As for us, I am looking forward to a cup final (I have no ticket :() and further progression in the FA Cup. I doubt we will go down.
It's funny how sh!t we are, yet we constantly hand NUFC their **** on a plate.
Now this is where you say Man City will stuff you, they may well do that. Although we take more points off them than almost anyone else. Won three of the last four, iirc.
They hate playing us.
We were also gonna get stuffed by Southampton, Chelsea, Man Utd (twice)...
Totally agree things have fallen apart again
3 more points and we're safe lol fcuk knows where there coming from ATM tho lol
Your still in the bottom 3 and you won't win your next game against the Gooners

NUFC could never pick another point up again and still be safe. Had we won a few of our 'easier' games, we would be a lot closer.
You mean back in the bottom three. We have a game in hand, as well. I don't expect to win many games this month!

Man City, probably the best team in English football, totally outclassed by Barcelona lol

I fancy your chances mate TBH, really hope you win
Lets just hope its not a repeat of Bradford City's amazing run to the final where they got slaughtered lol

I do, tbh. I am quietly confident that we can give them a good go.
We do at least that, every other time we play them.
I hope their players are complacent.
Even if we get a hiding, Que Sera Sera!
Beat Hull or Brighton and we will be there again. It's getting boring. lol

Managers headbutting players FTMFW lol
I had to drive to Sheffield really early this morning.... I was heading home & stopped at woodall services...
loads of footy fans were coming in in coaches...and were singing as they marched in..... I swear one of the chants was 'we're in the bogs, we're in the bogs, we are, we are, we're in the bogs.... they seemed really up for it.... I haven't a clue which team they were following though....lol but on the mway, there were loads of red & white scarves out the windows

Edd,that fishfaced wannker deserves the book thrown at him for that,be thankful Dean Windass has retired as he would have thrown him into the crowd.
Anyway, well done on the win,bit of revenge for the previous times we have turned you over at the thunderdome.
We just never got going.

I always use WH mobile as they always give best odds (better for horse racing which 90% of my betting is on) and much easier to use than others. If I go in shop I always use Ladbrokes as its much friendlier (read as the lasses who work there are gagging for it lol)
No shame today. Not outclassed at all.
Two incredible pieces of individual skill aside, imo we were the better team.
To say that against a full strength Man City is superb.
Hope The Lads take heart from that performance and we are ready to go again, next weekend.
Next stop on the Gus Bus, Hull. :)
@Edd that no-lipped smarmy cnut is a disgrace and everyone knows it.
@mowgli That was Sunderland supporters that you saw. I'm glad we can hold our heads high after todays perrformance, because ticket demand has been manic, up here and some people paid upwards of £500 for theirs.

That little faux-French, Scouse rat is the last person in football who should be discussing rights and wrongs.
**** off and put another cigar out in a younger team mates eye, Joey, you deplorable second-tier nobody.

Really fear for Sunderland in their relegation battle now, leaving themselves with a hell of a lot to do!
As for tonight, come on Bayern lol
The tie will be over for man u fans at half time lol
We're not exactly fireproof but Sunderland are fukked!
As for tonight,Bayern,by their standards have been pretty tame.

Gona be fuming if they don't win. Did Bayern -1 handicap in a treble with two horses which will pay £102 from a tenner
