View Full Version : irmscher injection, high idle
Started the Sport up today, 1300 running irmscher injection
It will not idle bellow 2000rpm
Left it running for 15mins
Tried different ICV
both throttle stops wound right out
Fcuked about with screw on AFM
Tried different TPS
anyone with and ideas?
Almost feel like stripping off all the prehistoric injection loom and fitting Megasquirt on it lol
Can't seem to have no problems with it ATM
Edd
any air pipe leaks?? there is a coasting valve on the gte that causes problems
the cts might be tatered.
I have checked for air leaks as I've just re routed the ICV pipework and fitted a new airbox, couldnt find anything, wiggled all the intake pipes and the revs didn't change
Havnt even thought about the CTS, will have a look at that tomorrow, cheers

I was going to say is there an air leak, has the dizzy been knocked at all?
I will triple check for leaks tomorrow, as this was my first thought
Dizzy hasn't moved mate, I marked it when I set the timing
If I could afford to tax it, I would of taken it for a drive to see if I could clear it maybe

That's what I meant lol
Do you have another AFM to try then? Are you sure you've not wound the screw too far and it's jammed?
Sorted, cheers Mowgli
Fitted new CTS and it's perfect now
I'm now desperate to take it for a blast lol
Fcuk me with the wrong end of a pineapple, some of my advice actually worked.....lol lol
First time for every thing lol
Think me thermostat is fcuked now tho as no water is circulating through the header tank, ****ing 80's crap heap lol
should it even circulate thru there??? i thought it was the buffer for the rest of the system
I always thought is you hold the revs bout 3grand you normally see it circulating round there?
Top Rad hose, and all of the Rad is hot tho
drive it round for a bit before deciding its knackered.
I let you know in August then lol as that's when I'll be able to afford to tax it, my fault for asking her to get married, bloody wedding is costing a fortune lol
ahh. you appear to have actually asked her for a wedding, which is the expensive option... i mean, who gives a flying feck what colour the napkins are & that the flowers match the bridesmaids eyes.... its 2hrs in a church playing a real life version of the 'whack a mole' game(people bobbing up & down randomly), then 4hrs of boredom, then you get 1 hr of the pissup if you are lucky & then you are expected to sod off for a shag, whilst your mates party on till 3am having a right old time of it....

Ah the memories lol
yup, i've still got mine.... our wedding cost £2k including the ring. our friends still go on about the pissup that we missed... but the sex was some consolation...
