Hey everyone, I've been looking at some replica wheels lately and come across a company called Dare I've seen a few people use, but I cant seem to find any reviews on them anywhere? If anyone could tell me a bit more about them or let me know of some good rep companies would be appreciated, and please dont just say 'don't buy replicas' haha cheers

Ive had wheels made by dare in the past. Theyre round, they hold air and they do the job lol

Nothing in particular, not really sure on what to get, just don't fancy paying like £600 for a nice set of genuine wheels when I could spend half that and get some replicas - with research on which ones are likely to last obviously. Not sure if I wanna go euro look with wheels or get some fancy racey looking ones.

How well did they last? Saw a very brief post on a forum that said they corroded after a few months, but I cant really see they'd be that bad surely? Did you ever hit any potholes with them? I live in a fairly rural area which is full of the things so with the roads being quite thin its not easy to avoid some haha, managed to blow a tyre the other week on one -.-

replica wheels are cheeper for a reason
If you have the internets then search replica wheels that have failed

all wheels corrode, and they all get damaged, how quick depends on what you do with them
/\/\ replica wheels are also cheaper for a reason..... cos they haven't got massive markup on them

To be fair though, most of the photos of wrecked replicas are nearly always on performance cars, which mine isnt haha, I can't see what could go wrong with Dare wheels but I cant seem to find reviews on them anywhere.
Could buy some second hand genuine ones but myself and a few mates have bought some being told they were straight and not buckled to find out that is 100% not the case lol

I can't help but think its a waste of an F40.

Why would you spend so much effort making an F40 look like a Suzuki?

I wouldn't have said that dare the brand is as bad as the unbranded replicas usually found on eBay. Dares are sold by the likes of demon tweaks amongst others decent outlets. But if its the unbranded not known brands of wheel then I guess there will be a bit more risk. Maybe there are ratings industry standards that are worth checking have been met? Tuv?

Yeah that's a good point actually I didn't think about the tuv part. I suppose at least company's like Demon tweaks sell them then I should get some sort of warranty. Ill have a think cheers mate.

what do you want a warranty for?
if it fails, wrecks your car and potentially kills you, the last thing you want is a replacement crappy wheel. lol

Looks like an alfasud to me
Is it a Whizz-kid? lol
I've had some Dare's in the past. V1's iirc. Average quality, dunno if they're 'cheaper' now though.

It also looks like an F40 to the owner.
Here's one without the kit:
