I'm sure I heard something about using an astra coupe turbo loom but I might be speaking ****e.lol

Zlet loom and ecu can be used if you know what you're doing.

You'll need the flyby throttle pedal though

Not for a newbie then?

And hows that going to work?

You can't just change the throttle body to a cable one and expect it to run?

What's the advantage of this over a C20let out of interest?

ZLEH into a Mk3 astra using Omex management here: http://www.mk3oc.com/forum/showthread.php?22846-Dave-b-s-VXR-Powered-Gsi-Diary/page74

Lower mileage, availability and pricing really. But if you have to run omex or megasquirt its not

Would a rebuilt C20let be better though?

More than likely but just a possibility that I think is worth investigating. Looking at 1200 for a rebuilt c20 though

X30xe has gotta be the cheapest way to build a 200bhp nova.

I did look at the v6 route hobbit but ive always wanted to build a turbo nova for years. Now I have the nova as a second car I have the chance. But my two kids say that it has to be done with the cost kept reasonable lol

Z20let + after market management can be had for £1200 easy imo

I'd like it to be the other side of 1k but I suppose I could wait another year lol

Buy a complete astra coupe and break it. By the time youve sold all the other bits the engine will only owe you about £500 if not less.

I know of a nova running z20let management, the lad built it knows his stuff though

No need for aftermarket mangment and z20let ecu is mappable too

Good point burgo.

Mieran do you know if he is on here?

Must be other older vauxhalls with zlets.

Cheers for all the replies though people

Don't think he comes on here anymore

Just to prove that z20let management can be used in older vauxhalls look at the cav turbo that was in total vauxhall last month, and there was a corsa b too

I imagine he's talking about Ben lomas..... Runs Geordie chris's old build but with a hell of a lot more grunt nowadays. Nice guy that does indeed know his stuff as he's been converting c and z let's for years.

Your up on your LET builds Nick so what's the reason for you not using a Z one then? Ease of a build you know your way around by now I suspect.

Ease of build more than anything for myself and those involved with it...... I did consider the zleh but found it rather tame in the way the power was delivered after having a run out in a corsa c with the said engine I couldn't help feeling very disappointed. Although I guess an aggressive map could alter that but I'm more than happy to run a Clet even if it is considered old hat to some!

Cheers nick, i'm just going to save and do it right.

Did contact that company regarding that b204 nova but they weren't forthcoming with information or pictures so I have decided that it is beyond my skills. Especially for a drive build

Breaking a coupe turbo into a nova is just daft though tbh, they do everything better than a nova so makes no sense

Same can be said for any car you take an engine out of to put in a nova
