Hi guys. ive just got hold of some GAZ gha 310 coilovers front and rear. i was wondering will i need to strenghten the rear turrets? i personally think they might be too weak to take the weight of the rear end by using coilovers inplace of the standard shockers. what does every one think?

plenty of people haven't strenghened, mine hasn't and the boot has been full of half a ton of tools till recently and its fine. but if you can weld, you may as well.

Extra weld around the beam brackets as well.

technically yes, the stress is now taken up on the inner arches which used to be exerted on the chassis legs by the springs.
if you have an integrated cage then this will help distribute the load. Else, make provisions.

Yeah that's what I thought. im not running a cage so seam welding the turrets will be the way to go I think.
