Will a 1.2 carbon and inlet fit a 1.6?

As per title, if I got hold of an e16 bottom end and head would my 1.2 carb n set up bolt upto it?
Just a thought, I doubt it will but weren't sure.

It will fit however you will have a few problems. The 1.2 inlet has cathedral shaped ports and the 1.6 is round. It would not flow very well with this unles you port matched them. I'm not entirely sure if you can do this. You would have to run an electric fuel pup or bore out the hole for the mechanical pump. You would then have you run a carb camshaft. You would need to run a different distributer such as one from a 1.4 sr.
