I'm looking at putting 3 gauges in my nova, oil pressure, water temperature and air/fuel ratio... I don't like the idea of putting them on the A pillar so am stuck about where to put them. I was thinking of removing the heater controls (as I don't really need them) and putting the gauges in there. Why size gauges would I need to put them into the heater controls? I see most gauges are 52mm. Anyone know the size I need and also any other ideas of where they could go? Thanks

You could take the centre vents out below the hazard switch on a mk2. Always looks tidy and is easily seen.

How many would I fit in where the centre vents are though? Any pictures of this?? Looks well in the radio slot it's an option. Wheres the best place to buy the gauges from?

i got the holder off ebay, a few places online do sell them.

if you go for the 52mm gauges then the worlds your oyster to what style you like, the glow shift ones i got are from america. it took me a while to find ones i liked.

I just spotted them glow shift ones I quite like them think that's what I will go for. They any good? Think I would like to keep my CD player that's the only thing ha. The heater vents sounds like a good idea but not sure how I would hold the gauges in there? Also the heater controls/knobs I like the idea of but unsure why size the holes are which are in the dash

I was thinking about gauges in the dash but want to keep my stereo and heater controls and vents and glovebox... so not many options lol

Did think about putting one of these on the coin holder (on a Mk2):

Can see picture now. I don't really want a pod not my cup of tea. Really like them in the heater controls. What size are them gauges mate? Is 52mm a nice fit?

52mm guages yea but the hole in the dash needs a bit of a fettle. Plus theres metal so a die grinder is best!

That's no problem at all... Great stuff... Any recommendations on gauges. I really like the glowshift gauges but they take ages to come and can't wait that long. Anyone no if you can get them in the uk quicker? Or are there any gauges out there very similar to them?

Stack guages if you can afford them, swoosh arnt to bad, also need to decide whether you want stepper motor versions of the guages you want which ups the price

I quite like the style of the the glowshift gauge. Don't mean to sound stupid but stepper motor versions? What's that? Haha... I don't really like the stack ones to be honet I no there the best out there but don't like the style of them

Stepper motor means the needle is controlled by an electric motor. Meant to produce a more stable reading i guess

Stack stepper motor gauges FTW.

AFM is pointless unless its a proper 'Wideband' version. Extrapolated gauges using narrowband sensors are complete garbage and best suited measuring the O2 levels of my dust bin.

Here are mine to fit where the stereo does on a mk2 dash not ideal for constant assesment but fine for a road car imo
