Hello

I heard the most shocking thing I've every heard today. Some one said to me they don't like "redtop" engines !!

I've never heard this before sure I've seen people prefer other engines but not dislike the xe

What are your opinions ??

i would be interested to hear the basis of his dislike.
From such a vague comment, it could be anything from a genuine technical concern to simply a dislike to the colour red.

He brought a rough looking 1.3 that needed an engine rebuild anyway. So I said put an xe in there he didn't even know what that was and I had too say redtop instead :/

He fancies himself a mechanic I bet he dosnt like em because he dosnt know how to fit one

And his response was "I just don't like em" :/

why the fcuk are they refered to as 'redtop' anyway ? They were all silver from the factory FFS

I think it was because of the the red L shape cover that goes over the spark plugs but it's mainly change and morons that call it a "redtop" lol
