I have decided on what seats I want for my car except whether to go for carbon or Kevlar, I was wanting the carbon ones to go with the rest of the car but there £300 more per seat than the Kevlar ones??

Would the Kevlar go with the carbon bits on the car?

I've always liked Kevlar more than carbon, can you get red Kevlar? That would look best on your car.

I was thinking that conza, don't think so southie looks like its just the yellow Kevlar. Would go with my harnesses and wheel though lol

I love the carbon Kevlar mix,

To be honest mate with the money your spending on panels just save a little harder and pay the extra for carbon ones, don't Compramise your build just to save a few quid, you'll regret it in the long run

Wouldn't fancy painting them tbh mate.

Yeah your right bazil was just looking for some opinions, some of my mates have said it would look good with carbon others have said Kevlar

Just get Kevlar ones and add a carbon skin. I'd sooner have Kevlar anyway

Anyway, isn't it just the rear that would be seen as the front will be padded etc

Yeah just the rear would be on show Stuart

I have carbon in mine but by the time you add polycarb windows, harness' and cage you cant see the backs anyway...

Well this is it mate makes me wonder if I should buy them or not. If I don't I'll probably regret it though

I suppose it comes down to how much gunfire you're likely to encounter from the rear, carbon fiber isn't as capable overall as kevlar when it comes to absorbing bullets because it's more brittle.

^^^^ do you regularly crack open your tailgate, pull out a AK 47 and fire a full clip towards the back seats ? Im guessing not

I do a lot of red carbon interior trim for Bentley Continentals, looks tacky as fook IMO. Its shÃ*t to trim aswell as its not 100% carbon either. Red is polyester, as with all so called coloured carbon matierial.

I was going to say, carbon is black because... carbon is black! I think composites have become a bit 'bling', they are designed to give the desired mechanical properties at a fraction of the weight. Just my 2 pence. And if you can sell flat carbon panels for that much then I think I might open an online store myself!! Absolutely no help with the origional question!!
