as we all know Corsa B's have the worst arches for fading what's the best way to make the black bumper trim and arches gloss instead of flat ? I've heard filler primer and then gloss black on top works is this true ?

Peanut butter brings the colour back but paint is more long term

a few coats of good primer flatted back till all the texture has gone and then paint.make sure you degrease the parts really well first so you dont get any reactions

if you use gloss finish paint then then they will be shiny, but you need to primer them.you wet flat the primer so it is smooth

Use a heat gun on them. Use auto glym bumper care to keep them fresh

dont paint them. you loose the texture on them and they never look right.

I did my old Corsa arches with a heat gun to bring the colour back, don't hold the gun too long in the same place or you'll melt them, try to keep away from your paint work as well ;)

Edit: Too bloody slow!!!

i done my my corsa bumpers with car plan black bumper & trim wax(looks like black colour magic) or shoe polish works well too but autoglym bumper care is the best

This is the stuff you want. I haven't used it myself, but it gets great reviews on DW.

Go to B&Q and buy some Linseed Oil from the woodcare aisle, worked wonders on the bumpers on my old loon and as its nice weather today i'll be putting it on my corsa b's arches as I have the same issue! DO NOT use a heat gun, the heating/cooling makes them brittle over time

If you want to paint them you're better off wet flatting them first with some 600 and lots of water, rather than covering up the texture with lots of primer!
