does anyone know if you can make a DIY bonnet using the gas strut out of the boot of a nova??
i believe u can do it using the boot lifter from a austin metro
the proper bonnet lifters look alot better anyways and they aint that expensive :|
i used a couple of metro ones. just undo the bolt on the hinge of the bonnet and one of the bolts that hold the wing on (or drill a new hole in a suitable place). Then simply screw in.

You cant use nova boot lifters i tried it they are far too stiff. Need something lighter.
Come on guys!
New ones aren't exactly expensive and look 100% better than boot lifters!
