this is what i like to hear!
that's cheap enough to persuade my other(not better)half into getting an old nova as a second car!

Its worth phoning round as the quotes can vary a lot, with an old car you would probably be better phoning and speaking to someone rather than online quotes.

Need to be a bit more specific really - what variant, modified, usage, etc.

I wouldn't expect to pay much for one as a second car though. Bear in mind you can only use your NCB on one car at a time, so if you already have it on a 'main' car, you'll start from 0 on the second car. Some companies will mirror it or give you a discount though so worth asking about that.

Tax exempt cars stop at 1974.

Try RH Insurance on 01277206912 for a classic policy. They are hard to beat on price & service.

I usually pay £100 fully comp for nova 10-1.3. Done over meerkat and similar sites, this year it's Halifax. Fully comp is actually cheaper the 3rd party for some very wierd reason?

However, the cheapest I can get for the xe so ffar declaring what it is is £200, still trying lol

lmfao £3600 to insure a nova, thats ridiculous.

The tax exemption for old stuff is anything prior to 01/01/73. My dad used to get irate at that as they froze it just as his '74 Dolomite was due to become exempt. lol
