it is attached, its just not very functional

"the garage has great access.....for bicycles"

"would suit someone with long term Nova project"

I'm hoping that garage door either has very little throw out the front or its one of those that rolls up lol

What is it with garages anyway? Two houses I saw on there yesterday were both advertised with the 'potential for the adventurous to convert the garage into an extra room' or whatever. Do people not put cars in garages any more?

garages are for kids bikes, Christmas decorations, tumble driers and fridge freezers.

Workshops are where the real action happens ;)

there ya go... it might be a sod to get back out after though.....

but in the film, it magically managed to swap sides down an alley, so you might just do it lol lol

Loads of weirdos like to convert garages into rooms. They tend to be the same type that won't even lift the bonnet on their own car though.

This reminds me, my washer bottle has been empty for days. lol

what size washers do you need?

The porch has wheels on it and it moves out the way to get the car in and out.

Its a great way to discourage car theifs

Over two litres at least. I am unsure how I would get them in the bottle though. Hence letting it run dry until I can consult with meritlover.

People dont put cars in garages anymore because garages are made small, and cars are getting MASSIVE. Especially when you consider a 3dr 4seater will have a door the size of most garage doors lol.
A garage is just a convenient brick shed these days, thats why I was more overjoyed at getting a double drive than a garage.

I helped cut a hole and fit a lintel in the side of the garage so the owner could open his car door lol

When I viewed this house, we looked round every in the house and was very happy with everything, then I asked if I could see the garage (to measure to see if a Carlton fitted), the sellers face dropped.

With the house rather open planned, they'd thrown EVERYTHING in the garage to make the house look more spacious. It was full of junk, very funny watching him open the door saying "i'm not sure you'll be able to measure it".

I did, it fits and it sits in there rather well. Have a drive long enough for 4/5 cars too.

When house looking, we saw LOADS of properties that had garages and extensions or porches that blocked them....stupid!

its stupid if you value a car garage over the space required for kids shoes and coats, if your garage just stores junk then there is no issue and its pretty reasonable. As most people have already stated, in most cases a garage isnt for cars these days anyway.

if you want a garage to store a car then the chances are you wouldnt build anything in the way. Just look at it in the way that if it puts off other garage enthusiasts, then you can use it as a deterrent for other potential buyers and get a cheap house for the price of pulling down a POS porch.

this house is in hinckley. the bloke actually converted his front room into a garage. the bay window was ripped out. the chimney breast is still inside it. i did a stack of building work next door to it & was astounded. he did put an extension on the back though.

lol Southie, that's ace!

I looked at a house a few years ago and opened the garage door to find the dining room had been extended into it so half the garage was only 4ft wide. Wouldn't mind but there was a big garden behind so they could of extended it that way instead!
