Calibra turbo 4x4 (working) vs nova 2.0l xe

Nova would certainly feel faster due to it being a small tin can, and 4wd would probably slow the barge down. [edit] From a standing start though, the 4wd would be an advantage.

My GT4 feels a lot slower than my V6, but side by side they're relatively comparable in a straight line. The Nova feels like its doing 100mph at 30mph, the GT4 feels like its doing 30 at 100 lol

Vauxhall listed the calibra turbo as having a 0-60 time of 6.8 seconds and i reckon a 20xe nova would be round about 7 or so seconds to get to 60 with a standard healthy engine

Pretty sure LeeH did a timed 0-60 in his nova xe of about 6secs dead!

Spot on, 5.995 to be exact but that one certainly went better than the 3 other XE Nova's i've owned.

This is what I was thinking!!

My Calibra doesn't feel like its doing 100 mph at 100
But nova feels like 100 at much lower speed!

I don't have the desire to be doing silly speeds like that anymore but I do like to feel it pulls away quickly! I'd rather be doing 45 mph around B a C roads than 100mph down A or M roads.

I drove a LE cally turbo 4x4, felt alot slower than mine as a xe.

^^ this is the post I was hoping to read!!

You have just sealed the fate of my Calibra!

Now it's just what engine I fit! The xe or the let with turbo removed! And anything else it needs changed.
But I have another thread covering this.

Thanks Benn.
