just about to order a set now and i just need to know what type of engine is a 1.6 8v,thanks

Should all be the same for SE's & SV's etc. Only variation on the 8v's would be the pre 85 bigblock as found in mk2 Cavs/Astras.

E16se,c16se if they are injection..if its carb it will most probably be 16sv.

having problems on getting a set in all honesty. been searching the net and cant seem to come across any.. would you know of any sites?

The C16se and E16se use the same gasket set, try a local motor factors place for the parts because by the time you've bought one off eBay your probably not saving anything.

Exactly the same as the newer C16SE and X16SZR engines for the gasket set :) ring autovaux they'll sort you out!
