Whats your ideal/Favorite Nova

What is everyone's personal Nova favorite? Being a 1.0 to a 2.0
3 to 5 door, hatch or a saloon. color, and most important mk1 or 2 and why? I am just curious to what and why :)

Mine, aside from the colour lol

2dr saloon, Mexico Red preferably. 3.0 or 3.2 V6 - don't think I'd ever consider another 4cyl Nova tbh. Prefer Mk2 to Mk1, but that can be swapped round fairly easily so not too bothered about all that

An early (A-C reg) 3 door hatch mk1 GL in white with the red interior ha.. with my mildly tuned engine (z18xe) and f17cr gearbox with cable shifter.

i would like sport but i would like a 1.6 8v turbo in my leaf green hatch keep it on 15" steels powdercoated silver fkr that sleeper look and keep the inside stock

early mk1 parchment biege 3dr. with snowplough, gte side-skirts, mk1 sr rear spoiler, opel 6jx14 steel rims, running e16se engine & f13 box, oh, and brown check interior...

thats what my old A reg one was, and i really miss it.. it rotted to dust in the end, but i loved how it looked.

Personal favourite would be a 2 door mk1 saloon in leaf green with any smallish engine for cheaper insurance and mk1s look more of a classic car

It'd have to be a full on works spec 2 door loon with a multipoint cage, 1400 bowyer engine, sequential box, all the trimmings!

If I only was allowed one forever, porobably a sport or an early SR (pre 1985). A good 1.3 with decent carbs.

Mk1 all the way, scrapped one mk2 and another will be scrapped next week (see my for sale thread fior ever growing spares).

Doubt I'll ever scrap an early model.

My favorites have to be Brett warburtons minty green Gary hopes rio verdy Phil lofthouses Dakar yellow and in a strange way I liked pinkey before it went jap style so guess it has to be gsi style with big block poke

Would have to be jamaican yellow sr was me early sr on b reg when first passed lol also me dream nova lol would be a New one, off the forecourt NO RUST or wholes wear or tears anywhere on it and it would have to be a new sport freshly built as stated brand new out forecourt so it would be mine an only mine

Hhhmmm...

Beige 2door saloon, fully painted under said, tubbed and turreted, dropped as low as poss, Rotiaform wheels, with a fully smoothed bay, no a wire or pipe in site.
Full beige leather re trim, everything re trimmed in leather in a rolled patton.

Engine unsure, as i'd love to build it RWD. Kinda like what Johnny A is building....

Some very interesting answers!!!! Mine has got to be a mk2 SRI in blue or red "even tho the red ones did turn pink if left outside in the sun lol lol " but standard and not redtoped!! Maybe a nice but not so big exhaust :) but apart from that a standard one thats not been spoiled with rally stuff :( Always wanted a GSI but i always thought the interia was better in the SRs, would anyone agree?
I am surprised how popular the saloons are??? I remember when i was 16 i said to my dad i REALLY want a vauxhall nova as a first car!! Bust not the one with a silly looking old mans boot!!! "i was 16 so dont pick on me to much if any saloon lovers read this" :)
On xmas morning i had a set off keys wrapped up in a big box with a card saying find me!!! Went running outside and round the local area, took me 5 min or so to realise it was in my next doors house!!!! Was a 1.0 mk2 3 door trip with 68k on clock!!! It was as new looking as ive ever seen!!!! H112MEY Would love to know where it is now!!! last ive found out its now a 2.0l and last tax run out in 2007 :(
Few years later i had a few 1.2s and a few SRs but never kept them long as i got older like mid 20s i wanted something more modern!!! Suppose we have all been there :( my last one if u guys remember was the blue rally one i tried to make standard again, but it was too far gone unless i spent a lot on it and put in a lot of time :( owwwww sooo i miss every nova i had!!!! But if anymore knows where a red 3 door mk2 reg H112MEY is please let me know :) but i am guessing its either scrapped now or hidden in a barn!!

Of course they would have to make it exactly the same or it wouldn't be a nova!! Or they could just make the rust spots a bit more U.K weather friendly, maybe power steering and better brakes......But nothing else!!!! I would defo buy one!!!! lol

White 2 door mk1 saloon, just like my first one but without all the rust, maybe a 2.0 8V engine on webers in it. Standard looking so it could be driven around anywhere.

Also wouldn't mind a space framed Nova with carbon fibre body, a supercharged V6 engine, the best suspension and brakes money can buy...
