I'm just setting up a wireless home network peer to peer. Basically all I want to do is share my internet connection with another computer.

Ive enabled Internet Connection Sharing and Ive got to the stage where I can see my internet connection on the other computer in the taskbar... but IE just wont connect??

Any ideas? Reading all the documentation is just confusing me! Ive had conflicting advice from the Wireless card manual to the XP help.. but neither work anyway!!

raah been at it for 2 hrs and I bet its something simple!

do you get the scree on IE where it says "page cannot be found" blah blah


there should be a "detect network setitngs" link. click it and things "should" work lol

Breeny, have you got a firewall installed? If so turn it off and try again. I run my pc and a network setup to my laptop, could the the other network but no internet connection. - This was the problem.

Tried that Cambridge doesn't work!

I have got a firewall installed but surely thats only blocking incoming traffic from the web? I'll turn it off and see anyway.

I can physically see the internet connection on the Client pc but it just doesnt work with IE or msn messenger etc

ive had this problem so many times.. normally works again when you use the network connection wizard thing..

my ICS just randomly stops working everynow and again and u got set all the settings again :? :?

seems to me like a question for Kev.
you tried askin him?

he has to know how to do it - networking etc is his job - and his house is fully wired up.
