So then fellow Nova lovers, who out there likes to loose 2 wheels and get on the pedal power? What you riding? Here's a pic of my home made trek remedy that I hit the trails on, I race downhill aswell but don't have a pic of my DH rig to hand, may take 1 later.

This was us last weekend, Yohan got a new wheel set, Davey thought it was a waste of money so didnt bother but he's pretty hard to keep up with now.

I don't ride mtb or dh at all, would really like a mtb for the trails, they do look fun but having put well over a grand into my bmx I can't afford to build another bike, run my current bike as I seem to snap chains alot haha, and run my nova too! Nice to see car lovers that also like some pedal power too!

Spudders has a similar thread somewhere lol

I'm currently using the wifes Specialized hardrock sport mech disc from 2007, its a gents bike anyway but too small so its a bit painful for longer rides.
I've shortlisted the On-One Scandal Trail 29'er as my new ride since Scotts have gone mental in money for what you get :(

oh no, your not conforming to society and jumping on the 29er bandwagon lol
tell me about it, bikes are rediculously expensive... my dh bike is worth around £8k, and every race season causes around £1k of damage lol

Well you cant really buy a decent spec 26er from any manufacturer worth looking at these days. The only decent spec 26er I found was the KHS Allite 2000 and it appears the KHS distributor in the UK has vanished :(

theres a lot of smaller companies out there now trying to make a name with quality frames.... why not try buying a frame and build to your own spec?

Went down that road and came back very very rapidly. 29" wheels are scary expensive compared to 26" ones so with just the frame, fork and wheels it was near the budget without adding in Deore/X5 minimum drivetrain and everything else lol The On-One bike is a sensible price for a great spec so I'll most likely get that and over the winter get a chinky carbon XC hardtail frame and build that up slowly.

where i stay, people also have vehicles with 2 wheels but with engines instead of primitive crank drives.

a crankless engine... ****els or turbine?

enough potty-mouth. a rotary engine, with an equally primitive triangular 'piston'. I think all reciprocating engines have cranks, but they are not powered by legs.

But a rotary engine is where there are normal pistons arranged in a radial pattern on a traditional style of crank, not a ****el invented engine ;)
