I've got a pair of GTE seats on there original subframes.
And I want to put Calibra seats in the nova.
From what I've read, I need the subframes. And I bolt the fronts and weld the backs.

My problem is,
I'm giving the GTE seats to a mate for his mk2 merit +!

Will the GTE seat bolt to his subframes? Or will he be needing the GTE subframes?
What's the difference between the two subframes??
Can I bolt Calibra seats to the merit + subframe??
(Even if it means a wee bit more work)
Plus I'm 6'3" and don't want to be sitting much higher.

Only SR/GTE/GSI type seats had subframes that unbolt. They have the u-shaped adjustment bar.

Basic models had an adjustment lever and didnt have seperate subframes (they form part of the seat structure)- so if your mates merit has standard seats he will need your GTE seats and your GTE subframes to fit them to his car.

I cant comment on what is required to fit Calibra seats - but plenty do it so it much be possible without too much effort. But you will probably need SR/GTE type subframes to do it as I dont think Calibra ones are anything like Nova fitment.
