I have 15" 5 spoke Allessios and 14" astra gte alloys.

I would rather use the astra ones because I like the look of them better although the allessios stick out probably giving a wider track.

Would this difference in width make much difference?

Heres the wheels to give an idea?

I would think the 5 spokes mate as they let more cold air into the brakes mate

Depends on which tyres you use. If the offset is not right then you may have trouble fitting 50 profile track tires and there are very few makes of 45 profile track tires.

14 inch wheels will probably take the same width tyre and will be cheeper to get better tyres. the 14s are probably lighter.

track width wont make much odds. could possibly make it handle worse.

the 14s look better. my advice would be to price the tyre for both first.

Wrong way round. The teardrops will absorb the heat from the brakes, as they have a greater sirface are, they will cool down quicker.

In reality you wont notice, go with whatever you can get the best tyre choices for the cheapest £

and with the 14's, if you get the right tyres, the rolling radius is lower than the 15's, thus the overall gearing is lower, so it accelerates faster
