try t.p.n the pallet network, i work for them as a night trunk driver and i know there one of the cheapest and ive often seen engines go through us

you'll be lucky to get much cheaper than that price.... you could try the shiply website, there are man & van idiots prepared to do stupid things for little coin on there

I used interparcel and was 60 odd quid but never tried sending to/from the highlands.
