MK4 Astra GSi Recaros

Anyone seen the above front seats fitted in a Nova? Is it possible to using a mix and match subframe combinations?

They look smaller/slimmer than some other 'new' vauxhall seats I've seen. Really feeling them at the moment and would love to have them in the Nova.

I might meaure them compared to the SR seats and non-sporty seats and see what's what. They are lovely though, uber sexy. I'd be more concerned about the rears lol

I can't find the pics I'm afraid, I think theyd fit, as they look similar size to any Astra seats which people fit into Novas.

They do fit iv had them sitting in my nova as was going to be fitting them but change of plan now but if I'm correct it will be tight but will work :)

When you say tight how tight are we talking? Does the seat in anyway touch the other seat, or the door handle/doorcard? Handbrake easily accessible?

Will it work with SR/GTE seat runners?

Yeah they look good in there mate the mounting would be cutting and welding to the nova ones as are totally different but could be done also there was plenty room in centre just really close at sides would have to centralise them more with the nova frames once fitted as I say I just had them sitting on the mk4 frames would be good to see it done properly tho :)

I just measured the Recaro's in my brother's Astra GSi -

The base of the front seats are the same as the Nova SR's at the widest point ~ 20 inches. The seat backs are 1" wider than the Nova SR's. Space wise they probably won't interfere with the handbrake etc in any way. Only difference is the sub frame where the SR seats are sitting 16" wide from rail to rail and the Recaro's sit 18". So a bit of modding to the frame would be needed.

Rears seats wise it probably looks like both rear benches would need to be taken to an upholsterer for the covers to be removed off the Astra frames and altered and fitted to the Nova one.
