corsa preg 1.2 into a mk1 nova?

Hi , as above title trying to put in a corsa 1.2 8v in my mk1 nova hatch..having a problem with the drivers side engine mount i cant seem to line it up at all??? the mount iam using is from the corsa but i thought they are the same?? are they the same or do i need the nova mount? thanks

better of using nova mount

why?? the 1.2 spi is crap, and the work involved fitting the injection is a lot of effort for an engine slower than the 1.0 carb.

well its not for me its for my nephew who has just passed his test and the 1ltr went bang....so this will do for now untill he finds his feet..cheers johnd will have to dig out an old sr mount i have somewhere in the black hole i call a shed.

You will need to use a Nova mount

i take it your registering this then...? have you found somewhere that'll insure engine conversions at that age?

sticking a 1.2 spi in is hardly a performance mod, considering they fitted it as std.

Fit a 12st, not much difference, but deffinitely noticable!
