GSi tailpipe

I have a GTE exhaust system on my 1.2i nova at the moment but the backbox has a hole in it and i want to fit a GSi backbox as i also have a rear GSi bumper for it. Does anyone have a picture of a standard GSi backbox. I bought one the other day but it doesnt look the right size :(

the system pipes are the same size & the gsi backbox is a direct fit to a std system. the gsi tailpipe goes straight out, whereas the gte one goes out on an angle

The GTE tailpiece comes out straight, not at an angle and is a oval shape with a tapered top edge.

The gsi standard one is a small black oval and looks crap.

bazil... i have one on my nova & another one as a spare... the gte tailpipe is angled

I have a standard GTE and a brand new spare GM GTE back box both are straight, the box sits at an angle, the pipe is at an angle but the tailpiece does not come out at an angle I can assure you,

Is the GSi not a straight oval polished tailpipe. I have had two them and both were polished chrome.

My H plate GSI had a black oval, I think the chrome one was maybe an option or Irmscher part but not certain on that,
The GTE was the one I posted up,

I might be on the look out for a back box like yours murh, thinking of putting it right back to OE spec

you can still buy the black tail pipe version from opel classic, same type that on the k9 njc

The one on k9 njc is not the black version. Its chrome, not polished metal. It doesnt look like the black one from opel classic so might be a different version. I have the irmscher version too. It looks the exact same as the one on the car now.

didnt say it had a black tail pipe, said you can get the same type which is the straight tail pipe as in your chrome pipe pic, rather than the first post pic of a black box with the bend in the tail pipe, reason i said you can buy the black tail pipe version of ur cars exhaust, straight out pipe

Most aftermarket ones do look like that mowgli, only the standard box came out straight and oval

Years ago Walkers ( not the crisp folks ) done a box for the GTE in exactly the same style as the OE one, but lets face it how many GTE novas would still have the OE box on it, most get changes for sportier looking ones or louder ones.

going well , most new panels sourced, fair bit picked up, end up buying a black sri nova to add to my madness
