Hi what is the best engine oil for nova gte grade and brand also is it worth flushing engine through before oil change? Thanks dan

and regards engine flush, how offen is the oil and filter changed, if its changed regularly they use should be alright

i dont know what the best is, but the most sensible for normal/fast road use would be a good branded semi synthetic 10/40. No doubt this will end in 10 pages of heated discussion, but that's what i would recommend.

Never ever flush with anything other than engine oil. If you drain what you have in it thoroughly there will be no need to flush. Get it properly warm and let it drip out for ages first.

like meritlover said get it nice and hot a let it run out for half an hour, and vauxhalls 10w40s good anuth and you mote aswell get yourself a vof93 while your there (oil filter)

I always flush using a cheap new oil when get a new car. It genuinely keeps fresh good oil cleaner for longer. For the sake of a filter and a cheap oil, it makes a difference.
