1.4i into carbed shell running carbs

Hi guys,Right got a `92 1.2nova on a carb n have a c14nz engine with a 1.6 GTE head on want to run pair of mikuni solex carbs. Need help with this ignition wiring bit....got a cam to fit GTE n running 1.4i electronic dizzy n coil from 1.2i car.....possible?? Just wanna find out before I fit it n it doesn't work lol,Please help people :)

injection distributors are no use for what you want. They might look similar from the outside, but they are internally very different.

So cant juat run + & - from coil through an ignition module to the + & - on the plug on the electronic ignition?

greasy - it is pretty much as basic as you think yeah, re-connect the positive wires, and add an earth if you need to. you just need the right gear to do it, a carbed ignition setup.
the internals of the SPI distributor you have now are different from a carbed variety and no use like meritlover says.

depending on your cam. if its pin drive, the 1.4SR setup jack was talking about is the one. if its slot drive, a 1.2/1.3 setup will do

Solved problem :) c16se cam carrier and cam,remove coil pack and mounting...can mount 12st dizzy :) cam has slot and peg :)
