x2 bolts in each side, x2 10mm nuts (one up under/behind the glovebox and the other behind the dash clocks) and a bolt at the very bottom on a bracket to the floor. Need to remove the centre console to access this. I think thats it??!!

Take out all the switches clocks etc remove heater vents and there's bolts at top at either side behind heaters and also middle bottom infront of the centre console aswell its a pretty easy job bud ;)

If I mind ryt you need to remove vents because of the ducts but you might get away with leaving them in but doesn't take long to remove them

Ah ok, do all the heater and headlight switches just pull off?

Switches have clips and the heater covers have small hex head bolts holding them in

Be careful with the headlight switch, it breaks easily.

The screws on each side and behind govebox/display.
there is a star screw right at the middle of the bottom
There are screws under/behind the headlight switch and passenger central air vent, these hold the black bits on. I found it easier to strip the dash, ie switches etc first. Once you have the dash stripped it's pretty self explanitiry.

Thanks for the advice Marc, so without sounding stupid how do I remove the headlight switch without breaking it? lol

I would rep you aswell Marc but got to spread some around!

I have found that pull the switch out and slightly to the right, put a screw driver in the left side and it should pop out. Haynes probably has a different method but I broke two years ago doing it that way.

That's ok, I wrote to help not for rep anyway!lol

The dash is dead easy to remove, half and hour to an hour. You need screwdrivers, star head (don't know the proper name) 8mm socket for the glove box and can't remember off the top of my head what size for the actual dash nuts. Why are you removing your dash anyway?
If you get stuck let me know.

carefull with the cables that go from the heater control switches to the heater matrix, the plastic gets brittle over time and have a habbit of snapping at the matrix side
