i just hat to call the rac out for my o/s/r wheel binding.
before you ask i was 10 miles from home, no tools and it was pitch black and raining.
and i pay for it and nether use it.

back to the point my new handbrake cable was getting stuck in the place where it runs threw just as it comes out of drum, what the best thing to do?

clean it up loads, and try to get come copper grease into it... lots of pushing & pulling

Thank you Mr Mowgli, i did wire brush it up and put a little bit of whit grease in there

The plastic bits on the corner of the beam like to hold back the cable

i would just buy a new one for what they cost and grease it good and propper

^ i had this problem, with the cables sticking in those corner guides.
i bent them open slightly, so the cable wasnt getting pinched, and a bit of copper grease behind the cable, never had any issues after that

The plastic guides on the axle are common with some astra's, should be able to get some from the main dealer, were cheap too
