the mike reid reminded me of when he died, and i was talking with a mate about it, and he was pondering if when the pall bearers got the coffing to the altar, if they would do 'runaround NOW'

the same mate was pondering about the news of norman colliers death, if the vicars microphone might have some form of fault

ps.. our local vicar was actually helping at ronnie barkers memorial service, and they put 4 candles on the alter at the start of the service

Snaps are 35p and tangy toms are 25p at my local shop for local people, also they do instead of penny sweets... 100 sweets for a pound lol

i still love curly wurly bars, but they have to be put in the fridge for a good while to make them snap. i also still love sherbert fountains, but i always chuck out the slug..

also does anyone else remember a snack food called 'potato puffs'?? they were really crunchy, like hula hoops, but thinner & spiral (a bit like a danish pastry is spiral), but the bits were random length. at our school we devoured them at 2p a bag in 1974. then 2 1/2p in 1975, but in 1976, the year of the long hot summer, there was a potato shortage, and they sort of disappeared, never to return. i never liked skips, quavers or monster munch, so went off snacks for years until mini cheddars & tortilla chips appeared.

Plenty of people remember them here MikeCLICKYME (http://www.doyouremember.co.uk/memory.php?memID=4972)

I remember hedgehog crisps and fish and chip ones though.

I'm loving army and navy lozenges at the moment and also aniseed twists, might get some bon bons tonight though.
