1 of my m8;s suggested fitting a f10 on my GSI for accelaration, would this work??

said smaller box would make it very quick up2 60

wot u lot think?

i think itd be a hell of a lot of work for not much gain

wont physically fit unless u change the flywheel, as flywheel is bigger.

by moving the flywheel u then have to relocate the starter motor.

play about wiht the final drive in the garbox if you have to, but i really wouldnt go to that extent.

still each to there own

its quite a straight forward job, BUT it takes a fair while and there are no manuals telling you how to do it lol.

Dan and I did an FD change on his but had a spare Gbox so we could do the work and then fit the box.


Its kinda hard to describe without pics lol


If you feel technically apt then have a go taking the fd out of an F10 (provided its 3.94or 4.18, to tell you will have to count the teeth on the big gear and little gear then divide them) if you feel happy with taking it out, refitting is easy.
