Im using a big valve E16 head on my bottom end (1.2 pistons/1.3 rods and crank + 1.4 block) and basically what id like to know is that if id be doing any harm bringing the E16 ports out to match 1300 ones.
The reason for this is my twin 40 inlet is for a 1300, personally i dont see how it could lose me any power but im willing to be proven wrong!

Cheers :)

Watch out for water passage ways and EGR ones, personally I'd use a C16 head,

A friend of mine pointed out the dangers of using the E16 one in the way you describe,

Hmm think i might try and find a scrap one to try first rather than ruining my big valve one then!

dont think you will find enough material to remove , it would be easier to change to a round port manifold.

You could use epoxy resin on inlet to make it round port if need be, superbike lads do it when reworking heads so can be done.

i saw it on a racing quad head. it was producing crazy power....

if you choose to use epoxy, just make sure the inlet it proper clean... as in chemical clean it, then grind to surface off to make a decent key for it.
