Are these the correct ones for the Nova linkage?

Have they made much difference?

No...because they are the wrong ones!!! These are massive in comparison the the original ones.

Yep, I've just fitted some

Are you running an F20 with the Nova linkage? These are way too big for the Nova linkage.

Anyone got a pic? LMF tell me these are a direct replacement. lol i do not see how!

PICS...

Looks like you've got early nova linkage with the tiny pivot bush!

Most Nova linkages have larger diameter center housing that accept them nylon bushes, like this:

Ahhh cock. lol

I'll take these bushes to work and see if one of the maintenance guys can machine them to suit.

Would bronze be ok to use? As a replacement I mean.

Yes, I'm making some out of bronze for mine.

Well I broke one of the originals getting it out. Had the nylon ones machined. But as they are so thin the nylon has distorted slightly. Did a drawing for the guy so he can machine some brass ones for me.

I have two linkages like the one you have Pete, contemplated using one of them as it would just need a tube type bush fitting

But if it has distorted the nylon, brass or bronze of the same wall thickness will also distort. Is it possible to open up the hole in the linkage bar to allow thicker wall bushes to be fitted?

No. The tube that the bushes fit into are a very small diameter. No material at all.

When i say it had distorted the nylon, i meant during machining.

I guessed you meant during machining :) what is the bore of the linkage bar?

Pistol Pete

11mm outside diameter. That's what I measured the old bush at.

The pin I have got is 9mm so that will leave the bush at 1mm wall thickness either side. Bronze or brass will distort as well.

Your best bet is to swap to a later type linkage IMO, probably not really what you wanted to hear sorry

Not that fazed by it. lol the bushes i have just taken out look ok and they are the originals. Seeing as i have just spent out on the rose joints i will fit the bronze ones and stick it on.
