I'm in the proces of building a new project so something needs to fund it so I'm putting my engine and box up for sale. It's a high spec xe built by steveboyslim with no expense spared. It's done maybe 250milrs max since it was bench ran in. It was orginally mapped by track and road on a engine bed making 244bhp @ 193ftlb it had the map touched up by EFI parts and it made 230bhp @209ftlb. Since then we come the conclusion of upgrading the cam and is going back to be mapped on the 16th. This is EXPECTED to make around 260+ with no pub figures involved. I'm looking for £5000 for the engine and £1500 for the box but will sell as a package for £6000 ONO I'm not in a rush to sell and I will list the full spec if there is interest.
Cheers Gareth
Compression ratio, cam spec and piston and rod spec needed if you're asking that sort of money...Also the you need to reinvent your torque figures... Na xe over 200 lb/ft?? Lol

Sorry will i forgot you built, ran in and mapped this engine didnt you.
As stated the ful list will be written if there was serious interest. And there is no need reinvent anything, that's what the super flow RR printout says so that's what I've gone off.
Also as on previous for sale threads by different people throughout the site no spamming please any disagreements pm me.
Thanks
Get full spec up, like the adverts on british rally for engines or ebay. Get proper spec up of it may get people interested rather than think your being lazy.

Gearbox is a F20 casing with a brand new quaife sccr quaife gear kit and ATB diff the final drive is still std helical 3.94 ill dig the paperwork out for the ratios later. It's also been fitted with a AP racing hydraulic slave cylinder to get rid of the cable item as far as i know its one of only a few F20 that runs rhis type of cylimder setup. this can be change back to cable by changing the bellhousing
What spec are the hot rod cams matey? Got to say thats a very nice spec, +2mm seems big unless heading 300bhp, but potential is there though atleast, +1mm will do 270bhp happy. Thats a very good price too with the DS kit too.
May be worth putting it on britishrally.co.uk, motorsportads, turbosport etc, get more interest.

Thanks Philip I think there 11.84mm inlet @304 and 11.18mm lift @300 exhaust ill try that place aswel thanks
If you had a matching exhaust cam id of been hoping for about 250-260bhp on that setup, built an xe with the newer qed450v with 294dur 11.5mm lift, saw 228@wheels, dry sumped, omega's, rods, etc very similar to yours.
Still a cheap engine and even at that power the car will still drive awesome + very usuable + alot of potential with as you've already mentioned, better set of cams.will drive well at 230bhp anyway:D

The cams are the biggest off the shelf according to piper when it made 230bhp that was on a smaller inlet cam so I'm hoping to make good power

Nothing wrong with the cams, the cams are matched for that engine, having the same inlet and exhaust profile is not always ideal.
The cams could do with some further adjustments to get the best performance from them.
The idea of +2.0mm valves is to try to make the engine more drivable (as with the cams), so the head flows the same air at low lift when compared with higher lift smaller valve head.
Nothing new with the QED cams.
