mk1 bumper on mk2

Does anyone know if brackets need to be changed on this? i know i will need new holes in my wing for the side mounts but what about the main beam with the 2 brackets that come off that? I attempted to put it on today and it went on but was about 2inch lower than the ripple in the side of the wings where the mk2 bumper sits.

I have seen afew mk1 bumpers on a mk2 and wondered how theyd managed to get there perfect.
