How to check cams ?

Hi all after having 3 novas a 2l 16v another 2l16v with r1 carbs and a v6 I feel I need to scratch the itch again

Any way I'm picking up a b reg nova hatch with 2l16v on webber 45s the owner claims it has Kent cams fitted , it still has standered pullys , how would I go on checking if the where what he says they are.?

Engraving on the ends of the camshafts.

So if I pop the cam belt cover off it should be stamped that end ? Cheers

And take the pulleys off, and check the other end too.... So a bit invasive lol

Take dizzy out, its stamped on the gearbox side of the cam. If there repro, I think it will have something like ast1612r stamped into it.
