Which cam??

Again spoilt for choice but just looking for opinions on the best cam for a 1300sb engine in a sport which will be used on the road.

Kent ast2 or newman cam??

Haha Stuart, noticed in a lot of threads you have recommended the ast2. I'v been searching the net and the newman gets a good write up too and a lot of talk about it lasting longer than the ast2.

I understand the Newman equiv might be a rather good "backup" ;) if you get my drift.... But never used one personally.
As for wear, seen one abused to death in a high output 1600 and not a hint of wear on the ast2

Newman make decent cams in the lowest price bracket, that is to say they're better than standard and capable of good power increase, but not the best around.

Personally I'm a big fan of Cat Cams but the range is a little limited.

I have a kent 51 in my 1.4 nv (I think the NV was the 1.4 SR?).

It is ok, mild but does give a bit more at high revs and it does rev freely.

Yeah think I'm going to get the ast2, just need to find a complete kit now. I hate the internet lol
